God, the Father, sent Jesus to destroy the work of the devil.
The devil is the author of poverty, sickness, and death. Sickness is death in progress. If we're sick long enough, it will kill us. The enemy wants to steal, kill, and destroy you.
But we are to live and declare the works of the Lord! Jesus is the Healer. He destroyed all our sickness on the Cross so we don't have to carry it. God desires that all are healed, just as He desires that all have eternal life.
Jesus provided Healing in His Atonement on the Cross.
